Good news for people who love cotton candy, fireworks, and celebrating with neighbors. Arthur Fishwell, local philanthropist has stated they will be donating enough funding to the city to continue the cities three-hundred year anniversary. “Our community has thrived for centuries in no small part to generations carrying on with our traditional festivities and I see no reason for a little water to stop us now.” Arthur stated on the steps of Dagwood Library in a spontaneous speech. Fishwell was reportedly picking his daughter up from the libraries morning storytime event when several readers expressed their sadness at the idea of foregoing the celebration in favor of using city dollars to renovate and relocate after the disaster.
